I skimmed the Henry VI bit, quickly arriving at Bloom’s conclusion. Another piece to the puzzle fell into place.

    Richard III, whether in its strengths or its limitations, owes its energy and brilliance to the laboratory of the three parts of Henry VI.

That makes it fit. 6 Henry 1–2–3 was a testing ground. Parts of the language is indicative of later skills. Honed there, first.
