B&D Ice Back to Back

Visual Histories

One of the quirks of doing a strict photo-blog, a collection of images based solely on a specific location, one of the benefits is watching how a single image changes over time.

B & D Ice is a South Alamo staple. Seen here and then almost the same shot, maybe three or four years earlier.

I’ve maintained two central hypotheses about San Antonio. One, it’s the gateway to South Texas, and the loss of vegetation speaks to the drought conditions in the last few years, and two, San Antonio is way weirder than Austin, but no one cares.

“Keep San Antonio Lame.”

Right on.
