A Wandering Miscellany

Free Versus Paid
What Brooks said, and I suppose, for some sort of an introduction, I started skimming that site some months back because I found engaging tech chatter, and a well-written source.

Off
The first post was about that creeping fear of not having a (mobile/smart) phone within reach and the next one was about disconnecting.

I pulled the battery off of the clock on the wall. It says, “5 PM,” all the time now. I’m at the coast, came to go fishing but looks like rain, and suddenly the island lost power.

I like it.

End Times
No, seriously.

Coverage
Seriously? The T-mobile adverts, c’mon, who doesn’t like a smoking hot chick in motorcycle leathers? The problem with the ad, and the Verizon failure? There’s an app, iPad app, shows the top four, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, coverage, 2G, 3G, 4G, and LTE, nation-wide.

For my needs – and desires – the DeathStar – AT&T – has more high-speed access. Even when the power was out on the island, 4G speed and connectivity, on.

How cool is that?

Just goes to show, there is still little truth in most advertising.

30 Before 30
But I only counted 20.

Seriously
Long boards – in the grocery store – Flour Bluff.
