Dateline: El Paso, TX

Subtitle: the forgotten land:
That ASARCO smoke stack, pity it will be taken down, an ugly reminder to a day when the heavy metal was smoked. San Antonio reveres its past a little better with the upscale Alamo stacks left over at the Quarry.

There is a cold blight upon the land. I’m in El Paso.

Sister’s Comments:
“That one, you sent me for Xmas? I loved reading it!”
(Hint: it was a draft of Bexar County Line and a free electronic copy is available here, and it’s not much text, just pictures.)

Admission price isn’t too high compared to parking ( costs less, and allows overnight parking.)
