File this one under the “if only” department:
I looked – and found – at one time – fishing lures I could get my name – better yet – my URL – printed on. Fishing corks, lures, any manner of schwagg was – and is – available.

However, I think I’ve found something that is a lot more valuable, gets a lot more traffic, and conveys the best message. Imagine a standard-sized shaker of salt, just the usual kind, about two-and-a-half inches tall, close to an inch in diameter, a standard shape, like a spice jar, and holds one or two ounces, right? Except, instead of the usual label, instead of a brand name, have it labeled with “astrofish.net,” and that’s the great idea.

The symbolism, it has to be apparent.

Then again, maybe not.

Cum granis salis. (approximation)

Any commenter (commentrix?) worth her salt should be able to salt her comments with salty tales, reference to the salty dog and take the whole thing with an enormous crystal of salt. Y’think?
