>47.48% – (Direct Request)

That means, and from the referral logs, less than one percent, traffic rated by referral, less one percent comes from any single outside source, like a web portal. One horoscope referral site was tops at 0.66% – still less than one percent. For that matter, my eBay listing generated a similar amount of traffic. Right up there.

Which means it’s a destination site, for most, and it’s sought out, by at least half the people. Referrals don’t seem to be doing it, which bucks the trend in “web two point oh” talk.

I always wanted to be an iconoclast. Rebel. Obviously iconoclast is a way wrong word.

New! In! Box! Thoth Deck by Aleister Crowley
The Thoth Tarot Deck was imagined by Aleister Crowley, and painted by Lady Frieda Harris for the Ordo Templi Orientis. This deck is the slightly more compact size, roughly three inches wide and four and half inches tall. Sealed, still in the wrapper. According to the box, it was printed in Belgium for US Game Systems (CT address). Also, in a slash across the front, in small print, it says, “Includes 3 variations of the Magus Card.” This is a great deck that contains 80 tarot cards rich with Crowley’s kabbalistic and astrological attributions as described in his “Book of Thoth.”

Sealed, never been opened so it’s safe. Applicability and usability is not warranted or implied.

Shipping and handling, the bubble mailer costs me a dollar, USPS priority is $4.05 and confirmation is an extra $0.50, for a total of $5.55 – fixed, flat fee for the lower forty-eight. Other arrangements can be made, cost to be at buyer’s expense.

El Gran Tarot Esoterico – The Great Esoteric Tarot
The US Game System’s The Great Esoteric Tarot – except what’s for sale is the Spanish version, pre-US Game Systems. Deck is in good to excellent shape, all the cards are there as well two extra cards, and there are booklets a-plenty with this deck. Two. Or three, or two booklets and one leaflet. The designs are a pagan version of the older tarot decks, with familiar symbolism, and the major arcana are easy enough to understand – in Spanish. The back of the cards are spectacular with a dark blue field and in it a seven-point star, and the glyphs for the seven planets in the natural (visible) zodiac.

It’s an interesting deck, a Spanish deck, later subsumed by US Game systems. But this version predates that. “Made in Spain.” Which, really, I guess, should read “Printed in Spain,” but who’s counting?

The cards are in excellent shape.

The box is torn, part of the design from the front of it is missing; however, the box is in good shape.

A Poet’s Tarot – rare and OOP
“A Poet’s Tarot is a women-oriented 74 card deck from 1986. It has black and white non-traditional illustrations on one side, and on the back of each card is a linked poem in purple and silver (instead of a universal design). The suits of Sticks, Bowls, Knives and Pens are numbered from 1 to 13 – there’s no distinction made for the court cards.”

And that’s all I could find. Strange deck, with poetry on the backside of all the cards, genuinely individual art for each card, and there is no box. Originally wrapped in silk, from the image, I’m including a purple silk kerchief as part of the package. There’s also a stray piece of turquoise silk – OEM with these cards. It is included.

The card stock doesn’t feel particularly beefy; however, the cards do feel new. There is no box.

Eclectic Tarot by Piatnik Wien
Eclectic Tarot deck of 78 cards published by Piatnik Wien of Austria. The artwork is done by Josef Machynka. The cards bring many symbols from various sources together. There is a nice little 90 page booklet in English.

This deck stands out and I mean literally, it stands out because of its size. The cards themselves are fairly normal size, 2 and half by almost five inches, but stacked one on top of the next, the standard tarot pack is usually well under an inch. These are almost two inches thick. Just unusual. Good deck with keywords in three languages, rather interesting artwork, and overall, a nice piece of work. Certainly a full deck, unlike what I seem to be playing with. But that’s another story.

78 Cards and instructional booklet, cards are like new.
