leftover dining

It’s like pulling something out of the icebox, cold and maybe a little moldy.

Or not.

Stray Political Comments:
I tend to shy away from political commentary. I tend to stay way from the political arena because, in Texas, it is a blood sport, far more dangerous than playing with arms. I’m just saying, politics in Texas is almost as important as religion and BBQ. BBQ is still more important, but these days, getting a lots less attention that politics and religion. Or the politics of religion. Don’t even start me on polygamy & San Angelo. San Angelo is a nice town. They have a bawdy house as a museum. Private of course.

The former press secretary wrote a kiss and tell book. As the frogs drolly would intone, “Quelle surprise.”

But Mr. McClellan’s own mother endorsed the book. That’s the kiss of death. She ran, and failed, in the last governor’s race. Since Kinky Friedman also ran, she wanted to be known as one tough grandma, but I question her ethics. Tough? Possibly. Grandma? I don’t know, but I’ll take the word on the street. But not politically motivated?

When she was the acting comptroller of Texas, she used every publicity option she could get. Her name, it was different then, I think she’s had two or three husbands, nothing wrong with that, get her on the polygamy thing, anyway, she was busy getting face time, explaining this was not publicity motivated when, in fact, she was out at midnight, grabbing face time, just for the publicity, she wasn’t needed at a particular bust. Just doing it for the attention. showed up every time there was camera crew although it was not in her job description.

Which is fine, for a politician. Whenever I get near a news crew, I make a point of asking the lead what his or her birthday is. It’s just that this one? True irony. She says one thing while doing something else. Of course, that’s politics.
