Goals, Targets, Destinations

The original image was just a tagline for a standing gig at the rock shop in Austin, about setting goals. That’s the frontispiece of a daily journal — paper notes — I carry with me. It’s an odd set-up, in part, it’s a mere record, a daily diary, a tangible version of what blogs used to be, but in part, it’s different. I keep certain records, but mostly a simple reminder, and usually, simple, daily goals. Born out of that old master mind call, and conflated with Mercury in Retrograde protocols, my version of the 5-4-3-2-1 goal setting is easier for me to think about.

  • 5. Year
  • 4. Months
  • 3. Weeks
  • 2. Days
  • 1. Hour
  • It’s a way of approaching about the future, and making sure I have my feet planted in the present.

As a reminder, what Coriolanus (Shakespeare) said?

The gods look down, and this unnatural scene
    They laugh at.

    • Coriolanus (5.3.184-6) (seen here)

“Man plans and the gods laugh.”

    Goals, Targets, Destinations

Gratefully lifted and then adopted for my own style — from the old bullet journal materials — what I’ve established for me, is a way of looking at what is, what could be, and what I should be prepared for, as well as where things are at the moment.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to support Nature’s Treasures during this pandemic. We know everyone is ready for things to be back to normal, and so are we! However, until then, we still want to proceed wisely using the following COVID-19 Protocols to keep everyone safe and accommodated. If you feel sick or show symptoms, please STAY HOME. Also, due to limited staffing and increased attempted shoplifting, we will have additional security measures in place.
2-ply masks that cover both nose and mouth will be required at all times for anyone over 2 years old while in the store, regardless of vaccination status.
No handbags, purses, or backpacks will be allowed inside; please let personal items securely locked in your car; baskets will be provided upon entry for shopping.
    No food or drink allowed.

Practitioner will be available Tuesday until 4:45pm.
