Every picture tells a story, don’t it?

So the images, the first, as I was set to sail off and attend to my own wee mum, I grabbed the latest copy of the New Yorker, and picked a cartoon out. Seemed appropriate.

Then, motoring down the road to Dallas, my dear, sweet friend Elaine shoots me the other picture. Much younger me.

The story about us meeting stretches back more than 25 years, maybe further into the distant past. The image she just posted to me, that must be from a good 20 years back.
