It’s NOT about the nail!

It’s not about the nail?
Perfect and fitting end to the Mercury Retrograde period, and this topic popped up at a business luncheon last week.

Gemini presenter, yes, one of them — talking about communication and in the final throes of Mercury in Retrograde.

That means, what? Great presentation about the various acts of listening. Over the years, it’s a skill-set I learned I have to use.

She started to describe the video short, “It’s not about the nail,” as a lesson in communication. Her presentation was about communication, and about the active action of listening.

So, as that Gemini started to present the information, I was intrigued. I listened. Good stuff.

Takes me back to a time when a client pointed out I was a good listener. Hear the verbal clues, listen to what the client is asking, and then, listen to what the client is really asking. I don’t always “hit the nail on the head,” but I get some wood on the ball, most times. Some times.

If I didn’t record my readings, I would appear much more “psychic,” but alas, I can’t hide the truth. More than once, like, at the start of a reading, client mentions a name, and then later, I repeat that name, and then it’s, “Wow, how did you know his (her) name!?!”

Pays to listen.

But that’s not what the video is about. Clearly, this video is about sex and gender.

The Gemini presenter, this was quite amusing, she saw it as communication. Wrong I might add, it’s about genders. Slightly stereotypical, pretty much the “Mars and Venus” school of gender studies, but that’s what it is about. In short. A short video that, to me, humorously catches the differences between genders.

My highly esteemed colleague? Claims it’s communication and listening. Brilliant woman, but still, in this case, I’m pretty sure she’s wrong.
