The Leo Moon Sign and the Implications

The majesty of the Leo Moon

The importance of the Natal Moon in Western astrology, especially if the sign is Leo, this Lunar placement get emphasis with a little extra notice. The majesty of Leo Moon is not to be overlooked.

The problem with the natal Leo Moon is that the Moon itself doesn’t always enjoy being parked in Leo. Leo is a Fixed Fire Sign, and as such, ruled by the Sun itself, it lends a certain flair to the Moon’s capacity as an emotional vessel. It can also be potentially harmful, as there are two flavors that do’t get along.

Peanut butter and chocolate, an unlikely combination, and it works well. However, unlike peanut butter and chocolate, the Moon’s Sign and Leo don’t always get along, at least, not on the surface. Moving past the obvious the problem that Sun is the Leo association and the Moon is the opposite of the Sun, the real problem comes from the gentle nature of the Moon and the munificence and extroverted Leo characteristics are at conflict.

Recognizing, embracing, and exalting the Leo Moon is the easiest place to start. From there, the good graces of the Moon’s influence are easier to work with.

“Play nice, or go home.” Simple, and simplistic, approach to this astrological element.

There’s a conscious, and subconscious, flair that arrives with the people carrying this Moon Sign. Tends to arrive as a delicately scented aroma, like a perfume, both classic and new; however, they don’t arrive as an overpowering presence. There is just a hint of that aroma. The lightest touch of powder, perhaps a grand entrance that is understated yet obvious.

This is the sign of the person who can say more with less. There will occasionally be the tragic, or even tragic-comic Byronic angst and air with this sign. There will always be a minor “drama-queen,” struggling to get out.

The only warning about this lunar placement is that the exaggerated passion can come back and cause problems.

Not to play the martyr, but anyone with The Leo Moon is capable of great personal sacrifice to arrive at the stated goal, whether that goal is a destination or finished project.

As with the Leo Sun Sign, the Leo Moon can be quite tenacious — stubborn to a fault — in other words. That’s both a weakness and strength. The weakness is that the Leo Moon can hold onto an outdated ideal or concept to the point of no longer serving a useful function. The tenacious, stubborn, the upside to that energy is that stubbornness will work on a problem until obtaining a solid solution.

There is also a spiritual component in this Moon Sign that must be honored, in some capacity. Perhaps this is the source of the term, “Spiritual but not religious.” This side of the Leo Moon can be best observed by a simple, gold cross, nominally Christian, yet the Leo Moon doesn’t attend a church of any stripe.

When dealing with a person who has aLeo Moon, the easiest way is to emphasize the positive attributes and steer clear of the negative connotations.
