Sepia Monks’ Corner

Sepia Monks’ Corner
The store, in Santa Fe, caught my eye, fed my whimsical nature, and made me a little curious. Subsequent examination reveals that The Monks’ Corner, a marketplace, serves several New Mexico monasteries, an abbey, and possibly a nunnery or two.

After my trip to the monastery, recounted elsewhere, the downtown sign tickled me again. Perfect for the sepia theme, perfect imagery, and, I might add, a cool place to shop.

Like most retail experiences, though, one has to be a little careful, as there is some merchandise that doesn’t appear to be 100% crafted by spiritual labors. Doesn’t make it any less of an uplifting place to visit, browse, shop, and buy.
