Three Roses

How does that line go? “3 Roses in a bottle,” and something about feeling good. I always thought, obvious implication, 3 Roses was an inexpensive fortified wine. Which goes with the song about “White Freight-liner” (Townes Van Zandt), and the private reel about White Freight-liner, both as a vehicle and malted beverage served in 40-oz cans.

Odd, the inter-web references to “3 roses” was all about love and stuff. Not what I was thinking, as a beverage best served chilled and in a “barrio-coozie,” a single serving brown paper bag.

I’d be the first admit, though, I might have all my literary references backwards, or just plain wrong.
