At the movies

Wall*E:
A Pixar vehicle. Lots of advance publicity. Good cartoon. Great? I can’t say it’s great. Surely does have a few moments, and some of those great moments aren’t captured in the trailers. That little nugget – alone – might make it worth a full matinee price.

Good way to spend some time, but what I realized, more than ever before?

I need to get a kid. I need one to borrow for cover, so I can see this kind of movie. No big deal, maybe I could just rent one or something.

The counterpoint to that sort of thinking, though, a kid would miss the layered points and visual humor like, “I’m sorry Dave, I can’t do that right now.”

If you don’t get it? You don’t get it. Still an okay diversion.
