No Country for Old Men

I liked the book. I thought the book was a break-through for its author. When I saw there was to be a movie I groaned. Usually not as a good as the book, especially a piece of literature. Although, Tommy Lee Jones and &c? The casting really was good.

Period points, like cars and the clothes Anton wore? Very well executed.

Cheese without the cheese factor at all.

Excellent film.

I try not to read other reviews until after I’ve put mine together. Point that Scott touches on though, the movie version evoked, in me, a touch of black humor I missed in the book. Perhaps it’s the lean prose in the novel. But I did giggle a time or two.
